We’ve got the info through for our next rep fixture, which is against Upper Hutt in Upper Hutt THIS COMING SUNDAY.

Like last time, it involves the age groups from across the junior club, and as you will have experienced, it’s a great rugby carnival-type atmosphere to be a part of.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for getting your Katipo to Wainui in what was an early start on Sunday.

It was a great win, with great defense and a good team effort overall.

Congrats to Jackson, as Player of the Day from the opposition, also to ‘UHILA, as our player of the day, and our two tacklers of the day – Doug and Kristian. Ian has your chocolate bars to give you at training tomorrow. And thanks to our wonderful captain of the day BASH, great work Bash.

There will be a presentation straight after our games, and sausages for all the kids. There will also be some for sale for non-players and parents, so please bring some coins.

If you get stuck for transport or you have any queries please sing out.

If your Katipo can’t make this game, please also let us know ASAP.

See you all there.

Poneke Katipo Rep Game Sunday 23rd June

Hey team,

Just a heads up that our very first rep fixture for Poneke Katipo under-11s is on THIS COMING SUNDAY.

We will be playing Wainuiomata, kick-off 9am at Wainuiomata’s Mary Crowther Park (see attached field layout), field 3.

Please be there by 8.30am SHARP, so please allow enough time to get there and find the park!

Click here for the Map of Mary Crowther Park

Captain for the day will be BASH, who will be in charge of oranges!

As part of the Poneke junior club, all our teams will be vying for the  Hakaraia Cup, it’s a fun tournament and good to be part of the wider club.

But if there’s anyone who can’t make it, or if your Katipo needs a lift, please let us know and we’ll sort it.

After the game there will be a free sausage sizzle for all players. Extra sausages will be available to friends and whanau for $2, and there will be a coffee cart on-site.

Once all the teams have finished, there will be a short prizegiving, scheduled for 11.15am, where players of the day and the cup winner will be revealed, so please stick around. It’s all due to wrap up around midday.

Also, just a gentle reminder that the grounds are smoke-free.

Lastly, any cancellations will be made on Sunday morning at 7.30am – we will txt you if that happens, but you can also keep an eye on the Poneke club’s Facebook page.

See you all at practice tomorrow anyway, and sing out if you have any queries.

Cheers

Deb

Gold Coast Tour **change of meeting venue tonight **

Hey team

Due to a double booking we have had to move our meeting to ASB Centre upstairs meeting room.

SAME TIME 6pm SHARP as there is another booking after ours.

The coaches will run the kids over from practice to ASB so parents please meet at ASB so we can get the meeting under way promptly.

We cannot take pizza in but we’ll organize some chips with the cafe downstairs instead to keep the kids happy.

See you all tonight.
